Today after hearing gladys story on her new cg member being interested in her friend and how she impacted his life, it sets me thinking.
How are we going to anticipate when are we needed in circumstances like that. The only way is to always be prepared and there comes the important word 'Prepared' or simply the preparation part. How are we going to be prepared for circumstances like that and speak the Words of the Holy Spirit and not the words we think it's best to say? That’s really down to the daily encounter we have with God.
And just thought of a Chinese proverb that says something like '10 mins on stage, 10 years of hard work.' Truly our 'stage' is when we meet people and we might really just have that 10 mins to really impact lives that have to do down to our 'hard work' that’s obviously praying. And hard work requires lots of discipline too.
It really inspire me to really draw even closer to God. As visitation is only that 5-10 mins. I don’t have that abundance of time. It’ really through 'emptying' ourselves and letting the Holy Spirit filled us that we will be able to be more effective for the works on God. What are some things that need to be emptied? It might be your school, a relationship, or even your own ministry (if you’re too busy serving).
Father today I ask of You to be the center of my life. Help me to be disciplined in seeking Your face daily. And today I say I must decrease and You increase. Also let me be your vessel to impact the life of my community. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!
