haha.. hmm.. last night in the mrt on our way to overnight prayer meeting, Eigene and I were having a GREAT time of sharing! hahaha... God has indeed blessed us with rich, fulfilling, spiritual friendships! hehe..=)
Well, she told me something she told to her Mr Neighbour..haha.. woh, and that made me go "huh?" in my mind for a moment..haha. She told Mr Neighbour, "You know actually Gladys is a beautiful girl"! When i heard that sentence, i was like... woh, huge statement arh. hHAHAH... to say that Gladys is pretty, i've heard of, but to say i'm beautiful, woh.. that's a totally different thing man.. many many levels higher than the meaning of pretty. haha...
Ok, before i go on arh, i'm really NOT trying to be egoistic or wad yeah, just writing wad Eigene saw in me that made me err.. beautiful? hhahhaha...
"You may think that Gladys has had many boyfriends right? But no, she doesnt. She looks beyond the looks of a person and sees their character." She said more.. something like even if he is ugly and handicapped or sitting on a wheelchair, if he's character is good, she will still see something in him.
When i heard that, I was like thank you Eigene for that beautiful compliment. I couldnt really say more, but whatever that she has noticed about me, yes that's Gladys Wong. hehe.. =)
Well, I've come across many, really many good looking, suave, totally charming guys. Wow.. they are a good feast to the eyes. haha.. All i would say is that when i meet someone, I thank God, truly thank God for a heart, a mind.. a soul i would say, that wants something more than just visual pleasures.hahah.. yes, what i believe is that, that beautiful character is gona last, while the good looks will not. A good character will carry good, enjoyable conversations, good looks.. hmm.. not necessarily. In fact, I've met guys who are models, totally eye candy and star idol material, but when they open their mouths, you really REALLY wish that they had never began. hahah..really.
PLUS! Everything you can see is subjected to CHANGE!
haha..yes, so even if that person may not look like totally gorgeous and all at the beginning, when we serve a great god.. He's gona change us into His perfection. and that INCLUDES our outlooks! God is a beautiful God in appearance too you know! That glory manifested.. it is WOW! so as we grow more to be like Jesus, I'm more than just certain, its like guarantee, paste stamp, confirm that we will grow more beautiful on the INSIDE AND OUTSIDE! Amen.. hehe. =P
